The Cozy House is a newly constructed 3 bedroom, 2 bathroom house just a few minutes walk to the beach and a pool! The unique open concept floor plan featured 9′-4″ ceilings with oversized windows and 8-foot glass inset doors for plenty of natural light. The property’s perimeter features a 6-foot high privacy fence with a private backyard.
The centerpiece of the living area is a large galley kitchen with a 13-foot long island that seats five. To either side of the kitchen is a dining area with a table that seats six and the living room with an oversized couch for all of your friends and family to enjoy time together. A giant 8 foot by 8 foot sliding glass door opens to a large covered porch and a private yard fully fenced in with an outdoor covered porch and gas grill. There is a gate in the back of the yard to access the pool. The guest bedrooms and master bedroom have separate access hallways on opposite sides of the house. The master bedroom features a walk-in closet and a master bath with double vanity and a large shower. The guest wing features a multi-use bathroom easily accessible to the living area with a tub/shower. A pocket door offers semi-private access to the queen bed guest room. The other guest room has two twin beds, and the laundry room is located in the guest wing. Every bedroom has a flat-screen wall-mounted TV.
We are a Dog-Friendly property. We charge a non-refundable $100 fee per dog that covers additional deep cleaning. A county ordinance currently prohibits dogs on public beaches throughout the county. Service animals who accompany a person who has a disability are exempted. We also ask that the pup needs to stay clean, with no wet sandy beach pup in the house.
Smoking or vaping in the houses around the property is NOT allowed.
A $200.00 one-time cleaning fee is added to all stays
We charge a Refundable Damage Deposit for Direct Bookings. The Deposit is returned in full when cleaning team clears your cottage from damage in 48 hours from your check-out.

Due to current supply chain issues with Beach Equipment & Young Child Equipment, we recommend using A1A Rentals (beach things) & Baby’s Away Melbourne/Cocoa Beach.

Nestled in the woods just 2 miles from downtown Highlands, our lakefront bungalow offers a secluded getaway that’s close to town, giving you the best of both worlds. This newly constructed space in our exposed basement with windows in every room and new furniture throughout. It features a deck overlooking the lake, a separate side deck, a full kitchen, and a master bedroom with a sleep-number bed. There is a stacked washer/dryer, and the living room and both bedrooms have flat-screen TVs.

Our Neighborhood
Mirror Lake is a small lake area only 2 miles from the heart of Highlands. It feeds Lake Sequoyah and the town’s water supply. Gas motors are prohibited, so it is quiet, and the only sound you hear is the waterfall over the dam. It is a quiet, friendly community.
Getting around
You really need a vehicle to get around. Taxi service is scarce in Highlands, and Uber has not yet found its way up the mountain. However, one of our neighbors offers car service to and from downtown or nearby towns if you want to try a restaurant in Cashiers or Sapphire and don’t want to drive. He also runs to the airport.
